WHERE TO GET THUNDER TALKING SOFTWARE
There are now several ways to get Thunder to suit your particular need: From www.screenreader.net there are three options in English. The standard .exe file installation for the home computer or laptop. This is also suitable for a stand-alone machine in the work place. The Thunder Anywhere USB option needs to be unzipped for installation on to a memory stick or disk. Here Thunder can be run on any modern Windows machine but nothing is installed on the host computer. This means you can use Thunder on other computers provided security settings allow this. The MSI option is designed for use in the network situation and allows the Administrator to take control of how Thunder is distributed amongst users. Where security is tight, as in colleges and libraries etc, there is a Thunder download option at www.webbie.org.uk/thundertogo/. In this case, instead of running Thunder from a memory stick or disk as above, you run Thunder over the web but nothing is installed on the host machine. Obviously, this is only suitable where there is an internet connection. Also at www.screenreader.net, there is the opportunity to download French, German, Estonian, Slovak and Italian installations, but only as .exe installers, at the OTHER LANGUAGES link. Partners may wish to view the earlier EU Thunder project at http://www.screenreader4free.eu/download.html#thunder. Lastly, our project wiki can be found at http://help-4mewiki.org.uk/index.php?title=Main_Page. We do hope you will find this information helpful. Thank you all. Roger
